This statement seeks to inform all residents of Port Alfred about non availability of water due to burst pipe on the outlet of the Port Alfred water treatment plant.
The municipality noticed that there is burst pipe on the outlet line of Port Alfred water treatment plant feeding areas such as Station hill, Port Alfred town, East bank and West bank. This also affected all areas in Port Alfred as the plant is switched off while the team is busy attending to the problem.
We are therefore requesting all residents to be patient about non availability of water and the water will be opened immediately after the repairs on the pipeline.
